Bob Gardner has been involved in the construction industry since 1977. Upon graduation from college in 1986, Bob worked as a Project Manager for Harper Mechanical in Orlando, Florida, completing an in-depth training program, which covered all areas of mechanical contracting. In 1989, he accepted a Project Manager’s position with Gardner Engineering, Inc. and immediately took charge of the Ely Maximum Security Prison Project; a remote project, valued at over 8 million dollars, spanning four years of construction. Bob has since progressed to Overall Construction Manager in charge of all field personnel, field operations and the estimating department, while continuing to manage large construction projects. Bob also is ultimately responsible for project profitability by establishing accurate project cost estimates and then maintaining construction efficiency and cost control. Overall, Bob’s education, experience and training make him uniquely suited for the role of Construction Manager.

RICHARD M. GARDNER, P.E., LEED® AP

Rick Gardner has been actively involved in the mechanical contracting industry and has been employed full time as a Mechanical Engineer since 1989. Rick has hands-on experience in each mechanical trade, plumbing, piping, sheet metal and service. This hands-on experience coupled with a Mechanical Engineering degree focusing specifically on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and solar allows Rick to apply sound practical and theoretical knowledge to engineering design work. In addition to his field experience and education, Rick has extensive training in the analysis, design and implementation of energy conservation strategies. Over the years, Rick has built a proven track record in accurately predicting, through computer simulation, facility energy utilization profiles before and after retrofit. He has been directly involved in nearly every energy retrofit project completed by Gardner Engineering, Inc., in the role of both Energy Engineer and Project Engineer. Based on his accomplishments, Rick was saluted as the “Young Engineer of the Year” for 1998 by the Northern Nevada Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

DANNY ROBINSON

Danny Robinson was initiated in the mechanical field in January of 1980 at the North Valmy Power Plant. He worked extensively in all aspects of the steam generation, cooling and condenser systems and all supplemental systems. Danny moved on to many very interesting projects of all sizes and applications such as natural gas storage facilities, hospitals, prison housing units and support facilities, libraries and public safety complex’s. Danny has worked at several Military Installations with a wide variety of projects, barrack remodels, 7 miles of pipeline to serve NASF with water, aircraft hangers, fire training facilities and HTHW Lines. With Gardner Engineering, Danny has been instrumental in the construction of the Engineering Laboratory at the University of Nevada-Reno, The Temple of the Latter Day Saints, Pennington Medical Building, Northern Nevada Medical, and Tahoe-Forest Hospital. He obtained a degree in Construction Management from Western Nevada College. He is also an instructor at the Apprenticeship School at the Local 350 – Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.

SCOTT WAGNER

Scott Wagner joined us at Gardner Mechanical Services in July 2002. Scott has been in the trades since 1980 and has been well versed in all aspects of HVAC and mechanical systems, their components and control systems, both pneumatics and DDC, including maintenance, installation and service. Scott has an extensive background with a variety of product lines and has implemented them in many applications for commercial, industrial, and residential. He also brings to our company an extensive list of training and credentials in the service field.

RANDY WILSON

Randy Wilson began his career as a sheetmetal worker in 1988. In 1995 he joined the Sheetmetal Workers Union Local 26. He worked at several different firms both in Reno and Southern California before joining Gardner Engineering’s team in 1997. In 1999 he became a Journeyman and then a Foreman in 2003. In 2013 he was promoted to General Foreman of the sheetmetal workers. Randy supervised the sheetmetal work on many large projects, including the Earthquake Lab, Davidson Math and Science Center, Living Learning Center, and Empire Elementary.

SETH GEIGER

Seth Geiger began his career as a plumber in 2000. He joined Gardner Engineering, Inc in 2006. Seth Geiger graduated top in his apprenticeship class and trained under our former Foreman who had over 30 years of experience. Seth has overseen the plumbing in the UNR Earthquake Lab, Living Learning Center, and most recently the Eureka High School.

Heidi, Theresa, and Trudy are the accounting/ front office staff.  Heidi is our Payroll/ HR department, Theresa takes care of Accounts Receivable for Gardner Engineering and general administrative needs, and Trudy handles Accounts Payable for both companies and Gardner Mechanical’s Accounts Receivable/ Dispatch.
